Manually Adding a Wizard

The reason that you would want to add a Wizard manually is if the App doesn’t find your computer automatically. To do this, click on the “plus” icon on the home screen on your Interactive LED.

Now, you need to enter the ID from your computer so on your computer, hover over the Wireless Wizard App (by the clock in the system tray) so that you can see the ID that it shows you. It should be in the format x.x.x.x where X is a number.

If you have set a username and password in the App, you will need to enter this on the LED. Once you are done, click “Connect to Wireless Wizard Now” button and your screen will display on the LED.

Saving a Favourite Wizard

Think of saving your favourite computer, or the one that you use the most as creating a “shortcut” or a “bookmark” so you can access it quicker in Wireless Wizard. To do this, you will see that there is a star at the top of the Wireless Wizards that are found on your network. In order to make them a favourite, simply click on the star. What happens then is that when you open the Wireless Wizard App, your favourite will be saved so you don’t have to wait for Wireless Wizard to search your network.

Network & Firewall Requirements

The Wireless Wizard Apps need to be able to “talk” to each other on your network so we need to make sure the following is available/working

  1. Both Wizards are on the same network
  2. Port 5901 is open in your Firewall
  3. Wireless Wizard Apps are allowed through your Firewall
  4. Wireless Wizard Apps are allowed through Windows Defender and/or any other Firewall

Slow networks will impact the performance of Wireless Wizard, especially regarding video performance.
